Zetland Hall
Zetland Hall hosts the vast majority of Hong Kong's Masonic activities. Located at No. 1 Kennedy Road on Hong Kong Island, Zetland Hall offers meeting rooms, practice rooms, and a library as well as a bar and banqueting and restaurant facilities.
Zetland Hall is owned by the Freemasons of Hong Kong and administered on their behalf by a board of trustees, consisting of one representative from eighteen Craft Lodges resident in Hong Kong.
The Hall is managed by a full time General Manager who is assisted by an Assistant General Manager and an Operations Manager. There are fourteen other full time staff.
Who may use Zetland Hall?
All members of a Masonic Lodge, Chapter, or other Masonic Order meeting at Zetland Hall may use the Hall and all of its facilities. Guests - both ladies and gentlemen - may be brought to lunch on weekdays. Guests may be brought into the bar on any evening when no Masonic meeting is taking place and on Saturday mornings. A member is responsible for his guest's purchases, and must ensure that his guest signs the visitors book.
Overseas visitors
Members of Lodges and other Masonic orders overseas, which are recognised as regular by the Grand Lodges of England, Scotland and Ireland, are very welcome at Zetland Hall and may use all of the facilities. On arrival, please introduce yourself to the General Manager and sign the visitors book.
Where is Zetland Hall?
Zetland Hall is in the Mid-levels district of Hong Kong, just above the Central business district and just off Garden Road. It is right next to the Kennedy Road Peak Tram station. If you are visiting Hong Kong for the first time, ask your taxi driver to drop you off at '1 Kennedy Road', or at "gin nei dei do yat ho" (Cantonese) or "jian ni di dao yi hao" (Putonghua). It is a five minute taxi ride from down town Central and the trip should cost no more than HK$30 from most hotels on Hong Kong Island.
The location page has a map and instructions in English and Chinese that you may print out.
